Working on my woodworking mule a lot lately but trying to make sure I'm not wasting gil leveling it too fast. Hit 67 last night and so far I'm still ahead with a small profit since I started. The last few levels have become a bit of a loss since there is a conquest tie for first place. Means no where to quiver my mass numbers of Demon Arrows I've been skilling up on as well as no where to buy Black Chocobo Feathers to make Fletchings used to make Demon Arrows. ... oh well. Decided to take the slow skill up route and put my fishing to some use. Breaking Clothespole fishing rods on Gavial Fish in Gusgen Mines, then skilling up on repairing them. Would be nice to have 70+ tonight but don't see that happening ;_;
BLU is still 62, I've been lazy in that department ... what's new.
Don't think I ever posted about it here but I finished my Morrigan's Coronal about a month or so ago too lol. So far I have the first and only one I've seen on the server ^_^

3:03 am - Started Ebisu quest
|
Actually started it a few days ago but forgot to post here (again). Took me a few trips but after about 10-15 failures I managed to pull up my first Gugrusaurus. Over the next few days I caught 12 total and managed to break my Lu 7 times total. Countless line snaps and a few I lost "due to skill" in there as well. The ferry is still broken so its a pain doing it as a one way trip but then again I usually break my rod once every trip now and have to run to Raboa to repair it. My woodworking mule is coming along slowly but trying to not blow all my gil to hurry it along. Hit 26 wood last night and so far I've made about 75k profit during skill up.
Started leveling BLU more often again, went from 37 to 57 in a couple days and over the past week I've recently hit 61. Oh well, thats it.

small update -- just hit 85 this morning fishing up a few stacks of Dil before work ^_^ Still 17k away from getting Serpent Rumors but I've skipped the past two days because they were only worth like 1-2k and needed 40+ fish ... rather just wait for Novice+ rank and get 3-4k from 2-3 fish lol. Maybe by then I'll be closer to 90 too and won't get my butt kicked by the Ebisu fish as badly.

8:22 am - Getting closer - ding 82 fishing

I've decided I'm going to push for obtaining the Ebisu fishing rod and from what I can tell I've got a long road a head of me. I just hit 82 fishing last night while I was resting after a huge Xmas eve dinner and from everything I read about the quest I should be able to attempt the fish now. People have supposedly finished it at 85 and I guess I can try my luck.

11:59 am - Fishing updates

I'm getting tired of posting the same old updates and then forgeting to post those same old updates I'm tired of ... but what can ya do lol. Lets see, some updates. Well, I finished my first Salvage item: Morrigan's head piece. Was pretty happy to finally have that done but now I want more.
I've also been leveling fishing a lot lately. For the longest time I was stuck around 57-58 and just could not get a skill up for about 2 weeks. I got mad and took a break from it until I got a Pelican ring to help with skill ups. I got my first ring on Dec 4 and in a little over two weeks I have went from 57/58 to now 75 as of Dec 18. I bought my first guild point item for fishing last week: Fisherman's Apron. I don't really care for the Waders as they just increase fishing skill ... most fishermen know that +skill does next to nothing in this game. I'll eventually get them most likely but I'm busy saving up 95,000 points for my next big purchase. Serpant Rumors which is needed to begin the long Ebisu Fishing Rod quest. Not exactly looking forward to that but hey, it will give me something to do. I need to make friends with a high level woodworking person too know lol.
Anyone have a high level woodworking mule to rent/lease? lmao

1:09 pm - Been a while!

I haven't posted here in a while again~
Due to unfortunate circumstances and a huge disagreement between our LS leader and a few of the other officers, I've decided to take a break from everything and anything to do with SW for the time being. I still log on to help friends out since its not them who offended me or the other officers. I might leave, I might stay ... right now its very hard to say! I've been taking the free time to try out other games.
Bioshock - beat it in two days, about 5 hours total. Awesome story and graphics but man is it short ._.
Tried out WoW for a couple days and hanging out with friends from back home in the US. Man, I knew there was a reason I didn't like that game last time. Childish, is the one word needed to explain that game. Way to easy and end game is sort of pointless. It's almost like FFXI with ONLY HNM.
Playing Hellgate: London now. Pretty neat game -- plays very closely to the old Diablo II. There is still a lot of bugs in the game right now though, they are working to get them out. It sucks to have to "Kill monster xxxxx" again because the game failed to notice you did it for a quest. Like Diablo II, it has more than 1 mode of difficulty. Right now its only "Normal" and "Nightmare" but plans on expanding to "Hell" later. The game has Act's just like Diablo II and a pretty cool storyline. Lots of side quests. So far the only job I've liked is Guardian, which is like a Paladin. Their version of a Sorcerer, called Evoker, looks like it could be awesome but its damn near impossible to solo on "Elite" mode at the start with it. Using my "Paladin" I completely soloed Normal mode all the way to level 31 in a little over a week. In order to play the real mode "Elite", which has harder monsters, you have to beat the game on the standard mode first. I just started my Elite game today, I'm lvl 8 guardian but time to take a break! Going skiing in the Alps for 2 weeks!

Got my very last item needed for SMN today ^^ Bahamut's staff gogo me. We also got a mask today finally on the same run. Took the screenshot with both of us in it for our LS website, using the same one here too. We got a scythe also finally! Five runs in a row dropped Hose and the low level staff >.<;;

7:18 am - I one shot myself!

I know it doesn't take much to one shot a taru blm, especially one with a sorcerer's ring latent active but this is one of my all time favorite now!
We were killing a bunch of Jailer of Fortitude with 2-4 people for torques and for anyone that has faught it knows it has two Ghrah's following it around which must be killed to remove the Jailer's "mimic magic" ability. The Jailer doesn't mimic every single spell casted on it but it does most of them. Well, I forgot to change my subjob to /NIN to help block the spells from being reflected on myself and I was too lazy to run and change. So I decided to see how well Blink works. My first 4 or 5 casts were blocked by Blink or not mimic'd back ... and then there was this one lol ... Freeze II one shot myself!
And for the "ZOMG YOU CAN'T TRIO FORTITUDE!" ... it has been solo'd by RDM and by a BLM so far. We duo it pretty easy too ^^ It's all about getting the Kf'ghrah's far enough from the Jailer, kill yourself, and RR. If the Jailer is far enough away from the Kf'ghrahs, when you re-aggro the Jailer, they will not assist him. You just need to get RR back up and pull the Jailer to one of the 5 towers to kite in circles and DoT it for an hour lol. At least duoing only takes 15-20 minutes.

4:36 am - Another boring week sorta~

Not much going on still for me. I've been fishing a lot trying to save up gil for BLM items. Finally got a sorcerer's ring and now I need to start saving up for either HQ errant legs or Jet, probably going with Jet's since I don't think +1 INT extra is worth all the -stats on errant (namely -VIT) ... bad enough I have 580hp in nuking gear with ring active.
Got some merits over the last few days. BLM is now: Elemental Magic lvl 2, Lightning Potency lvl 2, Ice Potency lvl 2. 42 merits to go for all three capped then I need to either: Unlock all AM2's (already have Burst/Freeze) or just cap Burst and Freeze to lvl 3 for extra magic acc ... what to do lol.

2:43 am - BLM75! another taru to toss at Nidhogg

Spent the past two days pushing pretty hard to get as many merits as I could before BLM hit 75. I wanted to get 10 merits ready so I could get Burst II, Freeze II, +2 Thunder Potency, +1 Ice Potency but alas, I only got 6 merits since I just manaburn'd on Aw'aerns and I guess just Freeze II and Burst II will have to do for now.
Next task: Cap Elemental Magic skill to 8/8, cap Thunder/Ice potency to 5/5 each, ... then do something with left over group 2's.

Not much happened over the weekend~ My LS actually camped King Behemoth for the first time in a few months and claimed it this time. Sadly only W.Head and Pixie earring dropped but then again, people wanted them so its all good. We did Einherjar later and got our first abj. to drop! ... W.HEAD ... lolz. A few friends and I spent some time killing Ix'aern NM placeholders and popped Ix'DRG three times and Ix'DRK two times. Left the weekend with 1x Altruistic Cape from DRK and 2x Astute Cape's from DRG. Nice job! No pictures, I know I suck. Didn't get 75BLM by this weekend either like I promised ... meh

12:45 pm - Cleric's Mitts + 72BLM

Happy day in dynamis for me. It's been about 6-8 months since I got a dynamis drop I actually wanted. Today I got my second Xacarbard drop: Cleric's Mitts, WHM hands. These gave me a huge boost to my enfeebling magic skills with another +15 which brings my total to 276! I could already land enfeebs on most any dynamis mob but now I should be able to stick silence on merit Mamool mages a little better ^^
dinged BLM72 last night as well; one step closer to something else to merit.

4:11 am - Einherjar Wing 1 cleared~
|
I finally cleared Wing 1 of Einherjar tonight along with a few others. We've been having trouble getting people to attend the event and due to lack of numbers having trouble clearing zones. 18 seems to be a magic number for us lately though, 3 clears in a row with 18.
BLM getting ever so close to 75 but more imporantly close to 72/73 where almost all my equipment will change ^^ @ 18k to 72BLM and then 3 more levels for my forth 75 job and finally something else to use merits on since WHM SMN BST and everything else is capped!
And today, I'm testing out the theory that taru's with red hair and poney tails have built-in lot bots! Check the screenshot out~
